The M2 isn’t balanced 50/50? I though that was BMW’s whole schick, or is MotorTrend just wrong?

Depends on the data if its from the manufacturer or Motor Trends scale weights. 52/48 isn’t bad nor the end of the world.

Yeah I’m pretty sure they advertised a 50/50 weight distribution.

Idk, 2% of 3,440lbs is 68lbs. I don’t think that’s insignificant.

Put a driver and some fuel in the tank and it’s no longer curb weight. Curb weight is car plus fluids other than gas, plus no pilot or passengers, if it’s the same for cars as the equivalent measure used for weight and balance calculations in aircraft.

BMW advertises lease specials, not weight distribution.

I think that claim usually involves a driver. Not sure if this data does...

But the driver sits closer to the front. So it should be heavier to the rear without one. Although we don’t know if they weigh it with gas which could cancel out the driver.

Wat? Front? Maybe your feet, but ass and upper body are probably middle to rear for most drivers.
And yeah, gas probably matters more than our dumb debate.

Pretty sure BMWs shtick is stupid naming conventions and fake noises.
